Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing on Friday announced that it is extending its Innovation Partnership with measurement technologies experts Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence into the 10th year and beyond.
The new three-year deal, which lasts until the end of 2018, will see the team continue to collaborate with Hexagon at the factory here and trackside in order to guarantee accuracy in the car configuration throughout race weekends.
"The whole business of Formula 1 is about measurement, analysis and then continuous improvement. The speed and confidence we get from Hexagon really relates to performance and reliability - the reliability coming from quality," Al Peasland, Head of Technical Partnerships at Red Bull, said.
The deal extends not only the team's use of Hexagon's analysis tools but also the research and development collaboration between the two organisations.
