The Rio 2016 BMX center has become the city's first Olympic venue to be completed this year, organisers said.
Located at the Deodoro Olympic Park, the games' second largest venue cluster, the track covers an area of around 4000m2, Xinhua reported on Tuesday citing Rio2016.com.
It will be used for the first time in October when it hosts the International BMX Cycling Challenge, the sport's official Rio 2016 test event.
The centre will form part of the so-called X-Park along with the mountain bike and canoe slalom courses.
Another six Olympic venues are expected to be completed this year at Barra Olympic Park, according to the organisers.
