Roadside bombing kills two policemen in Afghanistan

A roadside bomb explosion Wednesday struck a police van in Afghanistan, killing two policemen and leaving one injured.

"A mine planted by Taliban rebels in Sarakala area outside the provincial capital (of Uruzgan) Trinkot hit a police van at 10.10 a.m. today, leaving two police dead and injured another," an official told Xinhua.

Khan Agha Miakhil, director of public health department, confirmed that one body and two injured people were taken to hospital right after the explosion. One of the two injured died of his injuries.
