Former Brazil defender Roberto Carlos was Friday appointed coach of Turkey's Akhisar Belediyespor.
The 41-year-old signed an 18-month contract coming into effect from Jan 9, the Akhisar-based club said on Twitter.
Currently occupying 11th position in Turkey's top division, Akhisar Belediyespor have failed to win any of their past seven matches.
It will be Carlos' third coaching role after spells at Russia's Anzhi Makhachkala and Turkey's Sivasspor.
The former Real Madrid left-back quit as manager of Sivasspor last month after a 2-0 home loss to Istanbul BB.
