Mercedes' German driver Nico Rosberg will start in pole position for Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit, the last race on the 2015 Formula One calendar.
Rosberg secured his sixth consecutive pole and seventh of the season with a best lap time of 1:40.237 in Saturday's Q3, around two-fifths of a second faster than teammate and 2015 F1 drivers' champion Lewis Hamilton, reports Efe.
Hamilton wrapped up his second straight F1 title and third overall -- with his victory at last month's U.S. Grand Prix in Texas, while Rosberg has taken back second place from Ferrari driver and countryman Sebastian Vettel with his strong finish to the season.
Ferrari's Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen and Mexico's Sergio Perez, who drives for Force India, will start third and fourth, respectively.
Spanish Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz, Jr. will start in the No. 10 spot on the grid.
