A collection agent was robbed of Rs.6 lakh at gunpoint in broad daylight near Mahagun Mall here in Vaishali on Monday, police said.
According to police, the collection agent, Hirdesh who works for a company Wride Safeguards, collected Rs.6 lakh from four points in Indirapuram area.
He was going to collect money from other points in the same area when four men on two motorcycles overtook his bike near Mahagun Mall and asked him to stop at around 12 p.m.
The men put a pistol to his head and snatched the bag containing the cash.
They then fled from the spot, the victim told the police.
"We have registered a complaint and started the investigation. We are looking for clues from the CCTV footage from cameras installed in the nearby areas," said Inspector Gorakh Nath Yadav of Indirapuram police station.
