A 52-year-old RTI activist was shot at by some motorbike-borne assailants outside his home here, police said Wednesday.
The incident took place around 10 p.m. Tuesday in south Delhi's Chhawla area. Two bullets hit Parmanand Sharma in the hand and thigh.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
Police said Sharma was attacked over a property dispute.
"Sharma had a property dispute with someone, who has been allegedly pressurising him to leave the property," said a police official.
The victim's son Lalit told IANS that some people had opened indiscriminate firing in the air outside his home a month ago. A complaint was made regarding the incident but police did not take action.
