Russian figure skater Medvedeva sets new record
Russias Evgenia Medvedeva has set a new world record in womens figure skating short programme at the Grand Prix Final.
Medvedeva received 79.21 points here on Friday, beating the previous record set by Japan's Mao Asada in 2014, when she got 78.66 points at World Championships, reports Sputnik.
Medvedeva was Grand Prix Final champion last year and became the world champion, as well as European and Russian national champion this year.
Medvedeva, 17, has a high chance of becoming Grand Prix Final champion again.
