Lima (Peru), May 9 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Artem Okulov took gold in the 85 kg category at the junior weightlifting World Championship, bringing Russia's medal count to three.
Okulov Wednesday lifted 165 kg in the snatch and 195 kg in the clean and jerk for a total result of 360 kg. His 56 points overall surpassed silver-medallist Aleh Khuhayeu of Belarus and Cuba's Arley Mendez, who won bronze.
Earlier in the nine-day event, Russia's Razmik Unanyan finished first in the 77 kg category, lifting 345 kg in total. He beat out Nijat Rahimov of Azerbaijan and Armenia's Andranik Karapetyan.
In the women's field, Ksenia Maximova beat Yineisy Reyes of the Dominican Republic and Venezuelan lifter Yusleidy Figueroa for gold in the 58 kg category.
