The Indo-American pair beat Japanese-Latvian duo of Shuko Aoyama and Liga Dekmeijere 6-1, 6-3 in 58 minutes Tuesday. The winners broke their opponents five times in the match.
They will face Italian-Australian unseeded pair Francesca Schiavone and Samantha Stosur late Wednesday.
India's Leander Paes will also play his men's doubles match with Jurgen Melzer of Austria against the Mexico-American pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky.
