Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has given a green signal for the second edition of the 'UP NRI Day' to be held in Lucknow from January 4 to 6 next year, an official said on Saturday.
The official said a committee headed by Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan was constituted to select from eminent industrial organisations like FICCI, CII, Phd Chamber of Commerce and Assocham India as the alliance partner for the event.
A team comprising of principal secretaries of finance, planning, tourism, information and secretary of culture among others was also constituted to take up the task of holding the event.
The maiden edition of this event was held in Agra in January this year. NRIs showed keen interest in forging business and personal ties with the state.
