A security guard at Parswnath Society here was found murdered Friday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at Mohan Nagar under the Sahibabad police station area of Ghaziabad.
Police said Rajvir Singh, 50, a resident of Arthala village in the same locality, was on night duty at the society's main gate. Construction is still on at the site.
When Rajvir did not reach home in the morning, his family members went to the building and found the body in the society's park. Rajvir's head bore wounds inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon.
His niece was to get married Friday.
Police said they are probing the case.
