Tamil actor Suriya Sivakumar Sunday said filmmaker Selvaraghavan need not compete with anyone in the industry as he mostly competes with himself.
"I have seen Selva over the years and he is one director who doesn't compete with anyone in the industry. This is because he mostly competes with himself and even supersedes his own effort with each film," Suriya told reporters here.
He was speaking at the audio launch of Tamil romantic-drama "Irandam Ulagam" (IU).
"Typically, audiences await for a star's film with lots of expectations, but for a Selva film, the entire industry, including actors, wait with a lot of enthusiasm. I'm waiting to see his magic on screen soon," he added.
"Irandam Ulagam", helmed by Selvaraghavan, features Arya and Anushka Shetty in the lead. It is produced by PVP Cinema.
Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for the film, which has editing by Kola Bhaskar.
