Senior army officer commits suicide in Delhi

A serving major general of the Indian Army committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house here Friday evening, police said.

"The body of Rajpal Singh, 55, was spotted by his wife in his house at Dwarka area in west Delhi around 5.30 p.m.," said a police officer.

A suicide note was found in which he stated as he was depressed due his posting.

Police said currently, he was posted as an additional director general of National Cadet Corps in Patna.
