Continuing his attack on Arun Jaitley over alleged financial irregularities in the DDCA affairs, suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad on Wednesday claimed that the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) had recommended prosecution, among others, of the finance minister.

"Under Section 5G of the Companies Act, 1956, SFIO had recommended that the Registrar of Companies should prosecute 24 executive members of DDCA, including Jaitley, for not compounding," Azad said at a press conference.

"Twentyfour executive members and three government nominees were not assigned any role... this is violation of Section 5G of the Companies Act," he added.

He also said that SFIO had recommended prosecution three years ago and till date nothing has happened.

Azad also took a dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

"BCCI is above law of the country and I know what kind of setting is done there and what kind of alliance goes there," he said.

Azad also supported Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's allegation that a DDCA official had sought sexual favours from a woman if she wanted her son to be part of its cricket team.

"Nai baat nahi hai (There is nothing new in it). I had raised a similar issue in 2007," he said.

Azad also hoped that Delhi Police would now act on the SFIO report.
