Singer Shakira's first single from her upcoming album will be released in January next year. The title of the track and the album are currently unknown.
The album, which is her first under Sony label RCA, is set for an early 2014 release, reports billboard.com.
The 36-year-old had earlier mentioned that the new recording, her first since 2010's "Sale el Sol," is dedicated to Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, her partner and the father of her son Milan.
Recently, Shakira confirmed on Twitter that she shot a video for the song with director Joseph Kahn. "I just finished the video for my first single with director Joseph Kahn," she tweeted.
