Actress Shanvi Srivastava has been signed as the female lead opposite promising Kannada star Yash in upcoming film "Masterpiece". Regular shooting of the film will start from second week of January next year.
"We were on the lookout for a heroine for a while. Then I saw Shanvi's performance in 'Chandralekha' and was really impressed. We zeroed in on her because we wanted someone very committed and she perfectly fits the bill," the film's director, Manju Mandavya, told IANS.
"We plan to start shooting from the second week of next month," he said.
This will be Shanvi's third Kannada film after "Chandralekha" and yet-untitled remake of Telugu hit "Ala Modalaindi".
