Actor Blake Shelton and singer Miranda Lambert's marriage was officially dissolved just hours after they announced their split.
The couple only announced their split after four years of marriage on Monday and just hours later their union was officially dissolved in Oklahoma, reports tmz.com.
Shelton reportedly filed for divorce two weeks ago but the country music superstars, who had a prenuptial agreement, had come to an amicable agreement on how to split their assets.
"This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter," reads statement on behalf of the two.
While Shelton was hit with cheating allegations throughout the marriage, a source insisted to people.com that he had been a faithful husband.
Meanwhile, the split came as such a surprise that even Lambert's mother did not know about it.
