Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set on Thursday to expand his council of ministers, the first such exercise since he took office in December 2013 for his third successive term.
There has been no official announcement as to who will be inducted, but sources said Archana Chitnis, Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, Ramlal Rautela, Rustam Singh, and Vishwas Sarang are among those likely to be made ministers.
Three elderly ministers are likely to be relieved and the portfolios of six others are likely to be changed, sources in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said.
On Wednesday, Chouhan and the BJP's in-charge for Madhya Pradesh Vinay Sahastrabuddhe had met party President Amit Shah and General Secretary (Organisation) Ramlal to discuss the possible inductees into the cabinet.
