shooter Gurpreet narrowly misses out on final round berth

Indian shooter Gurpreet Singh narrowly missed a place in the final of the men's 25 metres Rapid Fire Pistol at the ISSF World Cup here on Monday.

Gurpreet scored 577 in the qualification round and fell short by two points to miss out on a berth in the six-men final round on the fifth day of the World Cup.

The event was dominated by Chinese shooters as both the gold and silver medals went to them. Fusheng Zhang with a total of 29 walked away with the gold medal while Yuehong Li finished second with a total score of 28 points.

Thanh Minh Ha from Vietnam won the bronze medal with a total score of 23 points.
