Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap qualified for the men's singles competition of the Korea Open Superseries after he won two qualifying matches here on Tuesday.
Kashyap first defeated home challenger Gyung Bo Ko 15-21, 23-21, 21-19 before overcoming Thailand's Pannawit Thongnuam 15-21, 21-16, 21-15.
In the first round match on Wednesday, Kashyap, who is coming off a long injury lay-off will face Tian Houwei of China.
His compatriots, Kidambi Srikanth, Ajay Jayaram, B. Sai Praneeth and H.S. Prannoy will also compete in the men's singles at the Korea Open.
In the women's singles, India will be represented by Tanvi Lad.
