Indian shuttlers Anand Pawar and Saili Rane have entered the semi-finals of their respective categories at the $50,000 Scottish Open Grand Prix here.
In the men's singles quarter-final late Thursday evening, seventh seed Pawar defeated Belgian Yuhan Tan 21-16, 14-21, 21-10 in 53 minutes at the Emirates Arena to take a 2-0 lead in career meetings.
The Mumbai shuttler, in the semis, will take on Chinese Taipei's 10th seed Tzu Wei Wang, who beat the Indian in their only match yet two years ago in Vietnam.
Later in the women's singles last eight clash, Saili came out with a brilliant performance to oust Bulgarian third seed Linda Zetchiri 21-18, 21-11 in only 38 minutes. Next, Saili will face Spanish second seed Beatriz Corrales.
The semi-finals will take place late Saturday.
