Madrid, Jan 3 (IANS/EFE) Mexican striker Raul Jimenez will not be loaned out by Atletico Madrid this winter even after the arrival of Fernando Torres from AC Milan, manager Diego Simeone has said.
Asked about the possibility that Jimenez could be sent on loan to another team in the winter window, Simeone said Friday that despite stories appearing in the press, the Mexican striker was not going anywhere.
The Argentine manager praised Jimenez, expressing hope that the player would offer his best performance whenever he has the chance to play.
Jimenez played in 14 out of the 26 official games this season, five as a starter, for a total of 599 minutes and one goal.
