Beijing, April 19 (IANS) Six people died when a boat capsized in China's Hunan province, authorities said, as rescuers retrieved the two remaining bodies from the river Thursday.
The accident occurred Tuesday night but the last two bodies could be taken out two days later, as over 300 people and 40 ships were pressed into search and rescue operations, Xinhua reported.
It all happened when a boat, rented by a construction team, overturned in the Yuanjiang river and all the 12 people on board fell into the river. Though six were rescued, the rest went missing.
The cause was being investigated.
