About 50 shanties in a slum here were gutted on Tuesday in a fire, but no one suffered any serious injury, police said.
The fire at the slum at Gawari in the Gomti Nagar area seemed to have been caused by a spark from a kitchen stove, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Sheshnath Yadav told IANS.
The fire-fighters used eight fire tenders for over four hours to douse the blaze.
