In the 36th minute, after the defender's first unfortunate mistake, Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal managed to score the second goal with a left-footed shot from the center of the box off a pass from Adnan Januzaj.
Bilbao's only goal was scored by midfielder Raul Garcia with a penalty shot in the 58th minute.
