Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday announced it will operate a new direct international flight between Chennai and Bangkok from December 10.
Furthermore, the budget carrier offered an all inclusive introductory promotional return fare of Rs.9,999 on Chennai-Bangkok-Chennai route for a limited period.
The new flight service will operate six days a week.
"We strongly believe that there is a tremendous potential in the southern markets too and this flight will help us to connect passengers form rest of India to Bangkok via Chennai," said Shilpa Bhatia, senior vice president and head of sales and distribution, SpiceJet.
The new flight is the company's second service to Bangkok. The budget carrier started its first Bangkok flight from Kolkata last year.
