Sri Lanka received a major shot in the arm after veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews was declared fit for the series-deciding third and final one-dayer against India at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.
Mathews, who suffered from cramps during his unbeaten 111 in the second match at Mohali on Wednesday, bowled and batted without any problem in the training session ahead of the last ODI.
"Angelo Mathews has recovered from cramps, he suffered at the end of the last game. He bowled as well as batted in the nets today. All our 15 members are fit and available for selection," Sri Lanka team manager Asanka Gurusinha said on Friday.
The islanders had a training session that lasted a little over three hours.
Meanwhile, the Indian team called off their optional training session scheduled for later in the day.
The three-match ODI series is currently locked at 1-1 after Sri Lanka won the opener in Dharamsala and then the hosts rode on skipper Rohit Sharma's historic third ODI double ton to clinch the second tie.
