Armin Veh will return to his former side Stuttgart after signing a two-year deal with the 'Swabians'.
Stuttgart Monday found a familiar face as the successor of caretaker Huub Stevens who resigned after the end of the season. Veh will take over at Stuttgart and stay 'VfB' until June 2016, reports Xinhua.
Veh coached Stuttgart from February 2006 until November 2008 and lifted the Bundesliga 2006-07. He also led the team to the 2007 German Cup final where they lost 2-3 to Nuremberg in overtime.
"I have repeatedly emphasized that after the great time at Frankfurt there is just one job that excites me. That was from the beginning the job at the VfB to which I have a special relationship," Veh said.
After three years at Frankfurt and promotion into top flight, Veh rejected to extend his contract with the 'Eagles'. However, until now Veh reinforced claims that he is unsure whether he would take a break or keep on coaching.
The 53-year-old signed the contract Monday but will officially take over in July.
"We are glad that we were able to convince Armin Veh. Armin is an absolute professional. He brings a wealth of experience, knows the club and fits very well to Stuttgart," Stuttgart's sporting director Fredi Bobic said.
A disappointing season came to an end for Stuttgart where they were nearly relegated into second division but reached safety at the penultimate Bundesliga round.
