It was a hot sultry Wednesday in the capital with the maximum temperature recorded five notches above average at 38.4 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast a cloudy Thursday.
"It will be a cloudy Thursday with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to hover around 38 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively" said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The day's minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 28.0 degrees Celsius. The humidity wavered between a high and low of 81 and 37 percent, respectively.
The maximum temperature Tuesday settled at 37 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 27 degrees Celsius.
