Tamil filmmaker Sundar C, mostly popular for helming successful comic entertainers and horror films, will next attempt a historical subject which will be made on a lavish budget.
"It will be a historical project like 'Magadheera', and will be made on a very high budget. It could easily be the most expensive film in Sundar's career. They are in talks with a leading Bollywood heroine to play the leading lady," a source close to Sundar told IANS.
The lead cast, including the male lead, will be finalised in a week.
R.C. Kamalakannan has been roped in to take care of the visual effects (VFX) in the film.
"The film will be high on VFX, and Sundar personally chose Kamalakannan for the VFX work. The pre-production work is already underway and the makers plan to go on the floors in the next two months," the source said.
