Singer Mika Singh, who plays a coach on singing reality show "The Voice India", feels his fellow coach Sunidhi Chauhan and other female singers in Bollywood are inspiring talented female singers from small towns to come forward to showcase their talent to the world.
The "Jumme ki raat" hitmaker is proud of the confidence and willingness of women, who don't feel hesitatent to sing on a national TV show.
Mika, along with other coaches Sunidhi, Himesh Reshammiya and Shaan are overwhelmed with the response that the TV show has received so far, especially from the girls.
"I am very proud of the fact that so many girls are willing to come out of their small towns and participate in such a huge event. The whole credit goes to Sunidhi Chauhan and other female musical prodigies of our country who serve as a role model for these youngsters," Mika said in a statement.
The show is an Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality entertainer "The Voice".

Naman comes in 'Akbar Birbal'
Actor Naman Shaw, who has previously appeared in shows like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi", "Kasamh Se" and "Kasautii Zindagii Kay", will next be seen playing the role of Zeeshaan in TV show "Akbar Birbal".
This will be the first time that Naman will be seen doing a costume drama. He will be seen as Akbar's (Kiku Sharda) nephew who enters the empire to learn the art of archery.
"The character I am playing is completely different from my previous roles. The comedy genre has remained my personal favourite, so when I was approached for this role, I was really happy and excited," Naman said in a statement.
"I thoroughly enjoyed playing my character as we are not bound by a tight script. It is the first time that the audience will be seeing me in a costume drama and I hope they enjoy it as much as I did playing the role," he added.
"Akbar Birbal" is aired on BIG Magic.
