Actor Sunil Grover, who played Gutthi on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" has moved on from the show due to better growth opportunities, says the show's producer Kapil Sharma.
"Everyone has been missing her (Gutthi)! Sunil Grover (who played Gutthi) has got another show with a channel. Since he wanted to explore further growth opportunities, he accepted the offer and moved on," Kapil said during an interaction with his fans via Airtel Talk2Me service.
Kapil also added that he had requested him to stay on the show, but it was too late.
"I did ask him to stay since the show is at its peak and people were loving Gutthi, however, he (Sunil) had made up his mind by then," he said.
Sunil was replaced by another comedian Gaurav Gera, who now plays Dulari on the show that is aired on Colors.
