External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj held a meeting with former Afghan president Hamid Karzai here on Wednesday.
"An old friend pays a call. Former President of Afghanistan @KarzaiH meets EAM @SushmaSwaraj," external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted.
On Tuesday, Karzai addressed the Raisina Dialogue, a global conclave on geopolitics and geo-economics organised by the external affairs ministry and the Observer Research Foundation.
In his address, he said that Afghanistan wanted to be a bridge between south Asia, central Asia, India and China.
In an obvious reference to Pakistan, he said that state entities should not be encouraged to harbour terrorist elements.
