Celebrated actors Sylvester Stallone and Kate Winslet won the best performance by an actor and actress in supporting roles in a motion picture at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards here late on Sunday.
Stallone, a widely-known action star, won the award for his role in "Creed". He was pitched against Paul Dano ("Love & Mercy"), Idris Alba ("Beasts of No Nation"), Mark Rylance ("Bridge of Spies") and Michael Shannon ("99 Homes").
"Titanic" star Winslet took home the trophy for her performance as Joanna Hoffman in "Steve Jobs", a biopic on the Apple co-founder.
Winslet, who called her co-star Michael Fassbender a "legend" in her acceptance speech, was competing for the award against Jane Fonda ("Youth"), Jennifer Jason Leigh ("The Hateful Eight"), Helen Mirren ("Trumbo") and Alicia Vikander ("Ex Machina").
