Tamil Nadu fixes sugarcane price at Rs.2,850/ton

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa on Monday announced Rs.2,850 per ton as the State Advised Price (SAP) for sugarcane for the year 2015-16.

In a statement issued here, she said her government has fixed the SAP for sugarcane at Rs.2,850 per ton for the year 2015-16, higher by Rs.550 per ton than to the fair and remunerative price (FRP) fixed by the central government for the year.
