A Hindi remake of the 2014 Tamil fantasy horror hit "Ra" is underway. Its rights have been acquired by Wild Elephants Motion Pictures, which produced Hindi comedy "Tamanchey".
"The movie will be remade in Hindi with a known actor and is likely to be jointly directed by Prabhu Yuvaraj and Ashraf. The cast and technical team will be finalised by the end of the month and the shoot will commence soon," read a statement.
Prabhu Yuvaraj directed the original, while Ashraf played the lead in it.
Yuvaraj and Ashraf were co-pilots before venturing into the world of cinema.
Made on a shoestring budget, "Ra", which released towards the end of 2014, turned out to be a sleeper hit.
