Pune Marathas beat Bangalore Raptors 26-20 in their Champions Tennis league (CTL) South Zone match to keep their aspirations of entering the final of the inaugural tournament intact.
In the legends singles match, Thomas Enqvist put Bangalore ahead by beating Pat Cash 6-3.
But Pune quickly bounced back from the opening match defeat, to win the mixed doubles encounter. Marcos Baghdatis and Agnieszka Radwanska comfortable beat Feliciano Lopez and Venus Williams 6-3 to restore parity.
They then took lead when Radwanska outplayed Venus 6-3 in the women's singles.
Raptors made the tie interesting when Ramkumar Ramanathan and Lopez won the men's doubles 6-5.
Lopez needed to win the men's singles match for Raptors to have a chance of negating the lead but Baghdatis proved too good for the Spaniard. Baghdatis won 6-2 to secure the tie for Pune.
