Kazakhstan's Kamila Kerimbayeva ousted fourth seed Gioia Barbiery of Italy in straight sets to enter the singles final where she will meet the tournament's top seed Magda Linette in the NECC-ITF women's $25,000 event at Deccan Gymkhana here.
In the doubles final Friday, second seeds Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Peangtarn Plipuech from Thailand scored a hard fought 7-5, 7-5 win over English pair of Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith.
In the first singles semi-final, unseeded Kerimbayeva caught Italian Barbiery by surprise with some aggressive hitting from both flanks and won 6-2, 6-8 in just 68 minutes while Linette overcame a first set loss to beat third seeded Latvian Diana Marcinkevica 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-2 in two hours, 10 minutes.
