Popular rock band The Rolling Stones are all set to release their new album "Blue & Lonesome" -- their first one in more than a decade.
The 25th studio album, recorded by the group's original members -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood -- alongside Darryl Jones on bass and Chuck Leavell and Matt Clifford on keyboard, is described as "five decades in the making and just three days to record," reports variety.com.
The album art features the band's signature tongue and lips emblem, painted blue to reflect the title of the record.
"Blue & Lonesome" marks The Rolling Stones' "return to the blues," according to the press release, and will feature covers from signature blues artists.
The 12-track album was recorded at British Grove Studios in West London. The announcement comes just a day before The Rolling Stones are set to perform during the first weekend of Desert Trip music festival in Indio, California.
