Three people, including a native of Thailand, have been arrested for allegedly cheating a Haryana resident by promising to get him a loan, a Harayana Police spokesman said here Saturday.
He said that the three people, arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan, have been identified as David Welham of Thailand, Arun Sharma, a resident of Faridabad and Saket, a resident of Mumbai.
The spokesman said that these people had cheated Sanjiv Kumar, a resident of Dharuhera, by promising to get him a loan of Rs.45 crore. The trio took a commission of Rs.21 lakh from Kumar but did not get him the loan.
