Three people were arrested here for sexually exploiting a minor girl over five years after she was "bought" for Rs 70,000, the police said on Thursday.
Rahul Shetty, who allegedly "bought" the girl, his father Raj Kumar and Imran, whose mother brokered the "deal", were taken into custody, police officer Tehzeeb Qazi told the media here.
The girl lived in Amravati district in Maharashtra with her grandparents as her parents had died.
Rahul, who also has a home in Indore, reportedly held the girl captive for the last five years, Qazi said.
The girl told the police that she was sexually exploited and burnt with lighted cigarettes if she protested.
