TiE-ISB connect to discuss disruptive technologies, new business models

TiE-ISB connect 2016, an annual event held here to foster and nurture entrepreneurship and build up the startup eco-system, will discuss disruptive technologies and new business models.

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) - Hyderabad Chapter and the Indian School of Business (ISB) on Wednesday announced that the seventh edition will be held from October 26 to 28. Over 50 investors, 500 entrepreneurs and 50 global experts are expected to attend.

With the theme 'India leapfrogs - Disruptive technologies and New business models', the conference aims to showcase avenues for entrepreneurs to leapfrog to explosive growth rates by adopting newer technologies and latest business models in various sectors to the entrepreneurs.

TiE-ISB Connect 2016 will enable the entrepreneurs to understand the power of disruptive entrepreneurship by providing insights on emerging domestic and global innovations, business trends, and competitive intelligence.

The event would offer specialised sessions on various sectors that includes Mobile, IoT and Analytics, eHealth, Skill India, FinTech and Make in India.

At the Investor Connect program, interested startups will get an opportunity to pitch to the investor community. The organisers expect to raise Rs 100 crore in this special program.

"TiE Hyderabad provides entrepreneurial insights, networking with peers and investor community, inspiration from successful entrepreneurs and also help in identifying own skills to the future entrepreneurs who are full of enthusiasm and innovative business ideas," said President Suresh Challa of TiE Hyderabad.

Dean and Professor Marketing Strategy and Innovation of ISB, Rajendra Srivastava said that the TiE-ISB Connect therefore is a natural fit to the School's pursuit of entrepreneurship both as an academic focus and practice benefiting the entire ecosystem.

Chairman of TiE-ISB Connect 2016, Ananth Rao said: "Disruptive technologies are displacing established business models and shaking up the industry across all sectors with ground-breaking solutions, further creating completely new industries."

Rao said, "The TiE - ISB Connect brings together execution experts, investors and academia together to discuss strategies and business models in a digitally disrupted world."
