Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has named six tiger cubs in zoos in her state according to numerology.
In a statement issued here by the state government Saturday, Jayalalithaa May 9 named the two female white tiger cubs Thaaraa and Meeraa and the male cub Bheemaa.
The cubs were born to white tiger Anu March 16 at the zoo in Vandalur, around 30 km from Chennai.
Jayalalithaa named two male white tiger cubs Aadhithyaa and Karnaa, who were born to Namrutha March 23.
The chief minister had also named Uthraa, a female tiger cub found in Sathyamangalam forest and now at Vandalur zoo.
The zoo attracts around two million visitors every year.
