What first catches the eye of most people is the upholstered seat placed in the living room. Sofa can be beautified with a little help from accessories like cushions and even lights.
Ashish Taneja, CEO of Zolijns Design Private Limited, shares tips on how to make sofa more appealing:
- The sofa upholstery and pillow fabric should be different. Place cushions and pillows at different angles and use as many materials, textures, colours and shapes.
- Throws give a depth to sofas. Drape them with throws or place a soft blanket over the arm of a couch.
- Paint the wall behind sofa and decorate it with wall art such as paintings or a collection of framed family portraits. This will give the room a personal touch and keep the interior decorating elements in sync.
- Also, make sure that the lighting around the sofa is appropriate.
