A four-year-old girl was the sole survivor after a van plunged about 600 metres deep into a ravine in the La Libertad region of Peru, police said.
The girl suffered only minor injuries in the accident, which killed the other six passengers, including her father and mother, Xinhua quoted the police as saying Thursday.
The girl's parents, Daniel Floriano Meregildo and Judith Caballero Cruzado, were both teachers at the Andres Avelino School of the Pataz province, 450 km north of Lima.
A third victim was identified as Marcia Milagros Perez Peredo, a young woman from the neighbouring town of Pacasmayo.
Their bodies have been found at the bottom of the ravine. The police did not give any information about the other three victims.
