Three women and a three-year-old child were crushed to death and two other people were injured Thursday when a truck rammed into a motorcycle and a cycle rickshaw in West Bengal's Howrah district, police said.
The accident took place on the Kona Expressway near state secretariat Nabanna.
"A truck lost control and rammed into a stationery rickshaw and a motorcycle before turning turtle. While two women and the child were killed on the spot, another woman succumbed to her injuries at a hospital," said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sumit Kumar.
