Tottenham Hotspur's Jan Vertonghen has signed a new three-season contract with the English Premier League (EPL) club until June 30, 2019.
Vertonghen, 29, whose contract was supposed to expire at the end of the 2017-2018 season, has played 179 games with the North London side since arriving from Ajax in 2012, reports Efe.
"I'm very happy to be here. This is an unbelievable group of talented guys and I feel privileged to be part of it," the Belgian said in a statement on the club's website on Friday.
