Trinamool's Baichung Bhutia has assets worth over Rs.17 crore

Former India football star Baichung Bhutia who is contesting the West Bengal assembly polls as a Trinamool Congress candidate, possesses assets worth in excess of Rs. 17 crore.

Bhutia, who is in the fray from Siliguri in north Bengal, possesses moveable assets in excess of Rs.3.88 crore with an annual income of Rs.34.99 lakh in 2014-15.

His movable assets include an Audi car valued at Rs.41.84 lakh, several insurance policies with a cumulative sum assured exceeding Rs. 1 crore, shares in Free Kick Ventures worth Rs. 19.32 lakh, shares in BB15 fitness Studio Rs. 25.10 and shares in United Sikkim Football Club of Rs.6.22 lakh.

His three dependents including wife Madhuri have a cumulative moveable properties worth over Rs.5.60 lakh.

His immovable properties which include several plots of inherited land in his hometown in Sikkim as well as assets purchased in Kolkata currently carry a market value of over Rs.13.47 crore.

His immovable properties include a bungalow on a land of 5,455 square feet at Vedic Village in Kolkata's north eastern outskirts.

Incidentally, the soccer icon who had unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Lok Sabha polls from Darjeeling constituency had declared near identical figures then, with his movable assets worth a little over Rs.3.88 crore while his immovable properties stood at Rs.13.47 crore.
