Two criminals have been arrested from Gurugram's Farukh Nagar area, police said on Monday.
Acting on a tip, Crime Branch officials laid a trap near Farukh Nagar police station. The accused, travelling in a hatchback car, were signalled to stop on Sunday. Instead, they tried to reverse the vehicle in a bid to escape.
The police managed to overpower them, said police spokesman Subhash Bokan.
The accused were identified as Jasbir and Padam alias Sonu, both from neighbouring Jhajar district in Haryana.
The police recovered a sophisticated pistol, a country made pistol and five live cartridges from them.
